Subaru is carrying on the line of one of its flagship models in the Forester. The 2025 Forester is all new with updates on styling and safety and introducing new technology. This model year marks the sixth generation of the SUV with more features and comfort than its predecessors.
Where Safety Is Standard
Like many other Subaru models, the 2025 Forester comes standard with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The latest version of the system is included, which helps drivers avoid pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles. EyeSight can alert the driver of any situation and apply the brakes to avoid impact. The 2025 Forester offers Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to help you know when to switch lanes. Reverse Automatic Braking helps you stop quickly if you meet an obstacle when backing up. A new feature for this Subaru model is Emergency Stop Assist, which activates if the driver doesn’t respond to warnings.
A New Look
The 2025 Subaru Forester will be available in the Base trim, along with Premium, Sport, Limited, and at the top of the line is the Touring trim. Sleek lines help to create an all-new look with LED headlights integrated into the front fascia. Another new feature is the Subaru star cluster logo, which has been updated and added to the front fascia.
The interior has been updated with a dark headliner and a contoured dash. Integrated into the dash is an information display with multimedia system. Pillars are placed strategically in the cabin to give you more glass for improved viewing. Designers also focused on improving the noise level inside the cabin, making this model year quieter than in years past. When you fold the rear seats down, you get up to 74.4 cubic feet of cargo space to carry all your stuff. Roof rails are standard and allow you to carry extra items without cramping your passengers.
Smooth Handling and Sophisticated Performance
Standard for the 2025 Subaru Forester is the 2.5L SUBARU BOXER engine that offers 180 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft of torque. Paired with the engine is a Lineartronic CVT for quieter performance. Certain trims include a manual mode with paddle shifters mounted on the wheel. SI-Drive and Active Torque Vectoring enhance performance while the dual-pinion electronic power steering rack improves responsiveness on your turns.
You can take on more off-roading adventures in this SUV with a ground clearance of 8.7 inches. Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive provides improved handling and more control in all kinds of situations. If you choose the Premium trim, you have the driver-selectable X-MODE with Hill Descent Control while Forester Sport and up trims feature the dual-function X-MODE. Incline Start Assist keeps the vehicle in place when starting on a hill.
