Rooted in Our Community: Growing a Greener Future Together - Nicole H
At Jenkins Subaru of Ocala, caring for our community includes caring for the environment. Through Subaru Loves the Earth®, Subaru of America partners with the Arbor Day Foundation to help communities create a greener future. This year, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala proudly distributed 100 trees to local residents, helping beautify neighborhoods and support a healthier environment throughout Marion County. Community members received a variety of tree species, including Bald Cypress, Red Maple, Sweetbay Magnolia, and Crape Myrtle trees. The impact of this initiative will continue for years to come. As these trees grow, they will provide shade, improve air quality, support local wildlife, and enhance the natural beauty of our community. Families excitedly selected trees for their homes, knowing they were making a lasting investment in the future. By partnering with Subaru of America and the Arbor Day Foundation, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala helped turn environmental stewardship into meaningful action. These 100 trees represent more than a giveaway; they symbolize our commitment to creating a healthier, greener community for generations to come. Driving Education Forward in Marion County - Meghan M
At Jenkins Subaru of Ocala, the Subaru Love Promise means creating meaningful change in the communities we serve. One of our valued community partners is the Public Education Foundation of Marion County (PEFMC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the students and educators of Marion County Public Schools. This year, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala proudly provided a $15,000 sponsorship to support PEFMC's annual Pop & Drop Teacher Supply Event and its year-round Tools 4 Teaching Program. Through this investment, nearly 1,000 teachers received essential classroom supplies to help prepare for the new school year and support students in need. During the Pop & Drop event, teachers simply drove through, popped their trunks, and received much-needed educational resources for their classrooms. The excitement and gratitude from educators were evident as they stocked up on supplies that will directly benefit students throughout Marion County. The impact extends far beyond a single event. Jenkins Subaru of Ocala's sponsorship also helps fund the Teacher Resource Store, where educators can visit monthly to replenish classroom materials throughout the school year. These resources reduce out-of-pocket expenses for teachers and ensure students have access to the tools they need to succeed academically. By investing in local educators, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala is helping support thousands of students across Marion County. This partnership reflects our commitment to education, our belief in the power of community, and our dedication to creating opportunities for future generations. Love Brought Me to Subaru - Theo L
Everything he does, he does with his wife of 40+ years in mind. He made her this promise when he said "I do." Life is full of challenges, and tough decisions. Navigating these years we're blessed with is better with someone you love, trust, and call home. Subaru was the last stop in his long and tiresome hunt for a comfortable, reliable, and safe vehicle for his wife Bobbie. The process was smooth enough, but the entire time all he could think about was monitoring and checking in on his wife's wellbeing. In the haze of their experience, they left the retailer feeling good about their decision, but still overwhelmed. Not just with the technology of the car, but his wife's rapidly declining health. John was getting ready to pick up breakfast for the morning when Ortavies, their salesperson, reached out to check in to make sure the car, and Bobbie were alright. However, things weren't starting off so smoothly. His brand new Forester Hybrid wouldn't start! In their fatigue, he'd left the Gear in Drive, and the vehicle on overnight. A testament to the smoothness, and quietness of his new vehicle, true but also a testament to his state of mind and wellbeing. Theo, his Subaru Specialist, and Dan, one of his retailers' technicians personally visited his home to remedy the concern. All was well until sadly, only a few days later, Bobbie was admitted to the hospital after experiencing a stroke. John spent every waking moment he could by her side. Only leaving for rest, errands, and his own appointments. From time to time, he'd stop by Subaru for a few minutes or so with health updates, and car questions. Sitting alone in that cold room day after day was hallowing. But he never gave up hope. His Subaru family knew this, and was by his side showering them both with love and support. Delivering a meal to her bedside and Ryann, his Customer Experience Advocate, sitting with them. Chatting about any and everything good to help temporarily forget the situation they were in and feel normal again. A heart to hug really helps give a touch of comfort. These small acts of love proved to mean the world to John and Bobbie during their spiral of unfortunate events. Love is what brought them to Subaru, and we are so happy to have been part of their story.
Love Promise- Blood Cancer United - Gabrielle D
Jenkins Subaru of Ocala partnered with Blood Cancer United® (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) this year and Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On June 17, 2026, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala personally delivered these items to patients in treatment. We're so grateful for their ongoing support.
New Shoes, New Confidence, Endless Smiles - Brittany M
For the second year in a row, Subaru showed our Boys and Girls club members just how much their community cares. What may have seemed like a simple gift of shoes and socks meant so much more to the children who received them. Many of our youth were wearing shoes that were worn out, too small, or in desperate need of replacement. Seeing their faces light up as they picked out new shoes—and knowing they could walk into school feeling comfortable and confident—was incredibly moving. Even more meaningful was the time Subaru volunteers spent with each child, offering kindness, encouragement, and genuine care. The smiles, excitement, and pride our kids felt that day are something they still carry with them. Subaru's continued support has made a lasting impact on our youth, reminding them that they are seen, valued, and deserved of every opportunity to succeed. We're deeply grateful for this partnership and the difference it continues to make in the lives of our children.
Honoring a Legacy, One Wagging Tail at a Time - Nick C
For the past few years, Subaru and Volvo of Ocala have proudly partnered in a shared commitment to giving back to the community, proving that compassion extends far beyond the showroom floor. Their partnership has created opportunities to support organizations that make a real difference in the lives of people and animals alike. One of those organizations is VOCAL (Voices of Change Animal League), a local shelter dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for animals in need. Their unwavering commitment to giving every animal a second chance makes them an invaluable part of our community. Inspired by both this partnership and a deeply personal reason, Jonathan chose to make a difference in his own way. He purchased and donated dog toys to VOCAL in memory of his father. He believed that even the smallest acts of kindness could brighten someone's day—or in this case, a dog's life. He has been doing this for several years now and his commitment is shinning through. Walking into the shelter with a box full of toys was about much more than a donation. It was about honoring his dad's legacy of generosity and compassion. Seeing tails wag with excitement and knowing those simple toys would provide comfort, enrichment, and joy to dogs waiting for their forever families was a powerful reminder that love never truly leaves us—it lives on through the kindness we share. The partnership between Subaru and volvo of ocala with Vocal has inspired many opportunities to give back over the last few years, but this gesture was something deeply personal. It wasn't part of his job description or a company event. It was simply one person choosing to carry forward the values of someone they loved and what Subaru stands behind. Sometimes, the biggest impact comes from the smallest gifts. A simple dog toy can provide comfort during uncertain times, spark play where there was once loneliness, and remind us that every act of kindness matters. Cats& Dogs: A Portrait of Devotion Event - Linda N
Over 150 community members came together in downtown Ocala for a special night celebrating the bond between people and their pets through the "Cats & Dogs: A Portrait of Devotion" exhibit. With adoptable puppies from VOCAL—like Butter, Hushpuppy, and Cornbread—welcoming guests, the evening blended creativity with a chance to change lives. As a proud sponsor, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala was honored to support an event where art, compassion, and community came together to help pets find loving homes and inspire meaningful connections.
10th Annual Furball - Linda N
One meaningful moment of that commitment came during the 2026 10th Annual Furball, held at the beautiful World Equestrian Center. As the presenting sponsor, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala was honored to partner with VOCAL (Voices of Change Animal League), an organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community. Through the Subaru Share the Love Event, together with our customers, we raised an incredible $35,000 to support VOCAL's mission. This achievement reflects the generosity of our Subaru family and the power of coming together for a cause that truly matters. Wanting to make an even greater impact, our General Manager, Mark McArdle, stepped in with an additional $5,000 donation, further supporting VOCAL and the life-saving work they do every day. Moments like this remind us that the Subaru Love Promise is more than words—it's action. Public Education Foundation of Marion County (PEFMC) believes that a strong public school system is crucial to the success of our community. PEFMC’s mission is to invest in, support and mobilize the students and staff of Marion County Public schools. PEFMC is a not-for-profit corporation organized to enhance education in our public school system- from pre-Kindergarten through vocational and adult education programs. When the PEFMC unexpectedly lost its primary sponsor, Jenkins Subaru of Ocala stepped in and was the sole sponsor of the annual Pop & Drop Drive Thru event. During the event, Marion County Public Schools teachers drive up, pop their trunks, and get back-to-school supplies for their classroom and students in need. Jenkins Subaru of Ocala’s $15,000 sponsorship helped nearly 1,000 teachers with school supplies to start the new school year. The sponsorship money will also assist the teachers throughout the year through the Tools 4 Teaching program. Through the Teacher Resource Store, district teachers can shop with them once a month and restock their classrooms and help their students to be equipped for academic success and best learning. This sponsorship will provide resources and support initiatives that create awareness, enthusiasm and positive results for our people, and the future of our community.
