The Premium opens the lineup on 18-inch black-finish alloy wheels, wearing black StarTex upholstery, Subaru's water-resistant synthetic, with silver contrast stitching. Its fixed roof is what gives it the most cargo room and passenger volume in the range.

Standard equipment includes heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, an eight-way power driver's seat, the 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system, a Power Rear Gate, raised roof rails and the full EyeSight suite with Blind-Spot Detection. It is EPA-rated at 19 mpg city, 26 highway and 22 combined, the strongest figures in the lineup.

The Limited is the volume trim and the biggest single step in the range. It adds leather-trimmed upholstery, a 12-way power driver's seat with two-position memory and a cushion extension, a four-way power passenger seat, heated second-row outboard seats and rear-door sunshades.

It also brings the equipment that changes daily use: a standard 54-inch panoramic power moonroof, 20-inch dark-gray machined alloys, the 11.6-inch Multimedia System with Navigation, 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio, a Surround View Monitor, DriverFocus, Cabin Connect, rain-sensing wipers and power-folding mirrors with memory. New for 2027 it gains an LED rear gate light.

The Limited Bronze Edition takes the Limited's equipment and gives it a distinct look, with bronze-finish 20-inch alloy wheels, bronze grille accents, bronze lower-cladding trim and black-finish rear badging against a Crystal Black Silica grille and garnish.

Inside it wears black StarTex upholstery with bronze contrast stitching and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel finished with bronze stitching and a bronze center-spoke insert. It is a seven-passenger car with second-row captain's chairs.

The Touring is where the Ascent turns properly premium. Perforated Nappa leather-trimmed seating, ventilated front seats, a high-grade leather-wrapped steering wheel, dark matte woodgrain console trim and ambient interior lighting with front and outboard footwell lighting all come standard.

It also adds a Smart Rear-View Mirror with auto-dimming, compass and HomeLink, a 120-volt AC outlet in the cargo area, chrome door handles, a chrome front intake cover and a body-color roof spoiler. Seven-passenger seating with captain's chairs is the configuration.

The Onyx Edition Touring tops the range and takes everything the Touring offers into a blacked-out treatment: 20-inch black-finish alloys, a gloss-black grille, black window molding, a Crystal Black Silica wing and roof spoiler, and black-finish rear badging.

The cabin follows suit with Slate Black perforated Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery, gloss-black interior accents and a high-grade leather-wrapped steering wheel finished with green contrast stitching. Like the Touring, it seats seven in captain's chairs.
